The Run to November
Now is the time to VOLUNTEER!
Over the next 2 months, we’ll be working hard to support our candidates in several ways:
Driving candidates — Residents drive our candidates around Mont Vernon as they go door-to-door, allowing candidates to focus on meeting voters rather than finding addresses.
Placing candidate signs — We’ll put up signs soon for candidates running unopposed, and right after the Primary for the winners of contested races. Signs help build name recognition throughout the campaign.
Canvassing — We’ll canvass and distribute candidate literature in two waves, currently scheduled for the weekends of October 3 and October 24.
Standing at the polls on Election Day — November 3 — We’ll support our candidates in the General Election.
Able to help with any or all of these? Watch for email requests from Allison Scobie-Carroll, our VP and Volunteer Coordinator, or send her a quick email now to make sure you’re on her list!

Support David Trumble for NH Senate District 8
September 19th
6-8 PM
Francestown Town Hall
Although Mont Vernon is not in David Trumble’s Senate District 8, David and his organic produce and plant starts are well known to many here.
David is facing many challenges, with a gerrymandered district covering 19 towns, stretched across 3 counties. He is running against a well-funded far-right Republican from Antrim, with a large war chest contributed by out-of-state corporations and PACs.
Tickets and sponsorships to the Farm to Table Dinner ( BYOB) on September 19th will help fund his campaign. Get your tickets today and help spread the word!
Hillsborough County Dems Picnic
Save the Date 9/27 - 11AM to 3PM
The annual picnic is one of HCDC’s biggest fundraisers of the year. Last year we added a craft sale that was so popular that the bake sale team asked that it be promoted to its own booth!
Get Crafting!!!
MVDC has agreed to spearhead the craft sale this year.
We need booth support on the day of the picnic. Two teams of 2 to man the booth, one from 11-1 and one from 1-3.
And we need crafters ahead of the event. Perfect items are things you always need, things you didn’t know you needed until you saw them and small gift items.
If we know what we will have ahead of time, we can promote items/categories so potential shoppers can plan ahead. Shoppers will be able to pay through a QR code so cash isn’t an issue.
