Maggie Goodlander is running to represent NH’s 2nd Congressional District in the US House of Representatives. Cinde Warmington is running for governor to tackle the affordability crisis on Day 1. As Governor, Cinde will repeal the private school voucher scheme that’s hurting public schools and driving up property taxes, stand up to Trump when he jacks up health care costs and tariffs, and say no to having an ICE human warehouse in NH.
Cinde will stand up for the people of New Hampshire to help them and their kids get ahead. That’s what she did as the only Democrat on the Executive Council. And that’s what she’ll do as Governor. This is a chance to flip the Governor’s Office from Red to Blue!

School Budget Cap Ballot Question
Vote NO on the school budget cap ballot question!
The Merrimack County Superior Court has allowed a ballot question imposing statewide school budget caps to remain on the November ballot. An emergency appeal to the NH Supreme Court was also denied.
Importantly, neither court ruled that the proposal is constitutional. That question remains contested.
This comes after voters in many New Hampshire communities rejected local budget-cap proposals. Now, as Majority Leader Jason Osborne put it, “the state will step in and cap local taxes for them.”
What happened to local control?
Representative Eileen Kelly’s August 23 essay makes the case that this ballot question is unconstitutional, deceptive, and confusing.

New Hampshire voters may vote by absentee ballot.
You can vote absentee in any election if you are unable to vote in person because:
You will be out of town on election day; or
You have a religious observance that prevents you from voting in person; or
You have a physical disability or illness that prevents you from voting in person; or
You have an employment commitment or must care for an adult or child during the entire time polls are open; or
You are confined in a penal institution for a conviction of a misdemeanor or while awaiting trial; or
You are a member of the Attorney General’s Address Confidentiality Program or are protected by a Domestic Violence Protective Order; or
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm, blizzard, or ice storm warning for your town/ ward for Election Day, and you have concerns about safely traveling in the storm.
How to request an absentee ballot
For the 2026 State General Election, you can request an absentee ballot NOW.
If you qualify to vote absentee, you will need to complete an Absentee Ballot Application and return it to your local clerk with the required proof of identity (noted on the forms).

After you have applied for an absentee ballot, you can use the Voter Information Lookup to find out if your clerk has received your request, when the absentee ballot was sent to you, and when your clerk received your completed absentee ballot.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is 12:00 p.m. the day before the election. The deadline to request and return an absentee ballot in person is 5:00 p.m. the day before the election.
Absentee ballots delivered through the mail or by the voter's delivery agent shall be received by the town, city, or ward clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on the day of the election.
The United States Postal Service recommends putting your completed absentee ballot in the mail at least one week before the election. Therefore, if you rely on receiving and returning your absentee ballot by mail, you should request your ballot more than two weeks before election day.
