Town Meeting

7 PM Wednesday - March 12th @ MVVS

At our meeting on Friday, March 7th, one of our newer members asked for some explanations of this year’s elections - Voting Day, Tuesday, March 11th from 7 AM to 7 PM at the Mont Vernon Village School (MVVS) and Town Meeting, Wednesday, March 12th starting at 6 p.m. She described it as TLDR (Too Long, Didn’t Read). This explainer may still be long because there is a lot to cover!

MONDAY - SUPPORT

SUPPORT HB431:

HB431 - establishing a commission to review draft rules related to minimum standards for public school approval and state academic standards developed by the department of education. [This bill would enable New Hampshire administrators and educators to have meaningful input into proposed changes to the Ed 306 rules. These rules set the minimum standards for what is required to be offered in our public schools. Recently the standards were significantly weakened via a process led by Comm’r Edelblut that did not invite educators into the process.]
